The position is responsible for arranging, preparing and delivering customer training for Scientific business of Thomson Reuters present and potential customers in Australasia. This role will be responsible for the development of external customer training material and implementing new training methodologies to allow us to reach a wider customer base in Australasia.
The position requires travel to customer locations as well as delivery of product training programmes via the internet.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver customer training - at customers’ own premises; public training courses; presentations at conferences and similar events; and remotely, for example by WebEx.
• Perform product usage consultancy to sales employees periodically and to implement training programs and to increase product awareness through special programs.
• Implement new technologies to meet the demands of an ever evolving customer base
• Work closely with sales employees to identify and prioritize training needs and revenue opportunities;
• Acquire a detailed in-depth knowledge of products and to keep that knowledge up-to-date.
• Prepare schedules, reports and other documentation on activities and customer feedback/intelligence using established formats and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s or master degree in life sciences, chemistry or other Science disciplines.
• Knowledge of intellectual property, Research of Development and/or scholarly research
• Knowledge and understanding of the information industry
• Excellent presentation/training skills and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated; able to work unsupervised; and able to plan, prioritize and work with a complex schedule of events and activities
