• Permanent Full-time Appointment or opportunity to be Part-time (0.8FTE)
The position will provide support to the Managers of Innovation and Commercialisation (MICs) and Commercial Research Unit (CRU) to identify, record and manage intellectual property (IP) developed at the University of Wollongong (UOW). This will involve maintaining an IP register and managing the administrative aspects of managing IP protection, including liaison with patent attorneys and patent search consultants. The role will also involve an ongoing support role in the education of and support for members of academic staff to understand the process of IP notification and protection at UOW and a commercial assessment aspect through performing state-of-the-art, IP infringement and commercial/technical analysis and research.
To succeed, you will have relevant qualifications and experience, exceptional communication skills and previous experience in intellectual property management or administration. You will be able to maintain confidentiality and work within strict timeframes and across multiple projects. Base Salary range
