Opportunity to move into Business Development or Business Analysis within a Technology Commercialisation environment
Salary package A$70 - A$80K+ bonus
A wholly-owned subsidiary of UNSW, NewSouth Innovations is a market-leading company that develops business opportunities to capitalise on the intellectual property from the UNSW. Its core focus is on commercialisation of this intellectual property.
This role reports directly to the General Manager Commercialisation (Physical Sciences & ICT) and works in a team environment supporting business development managers, business analysts and stakeholders. You will identify market opportunities and implement strategies to commercialise emerging technologies.
As a Business Development Associate you will be mentored cross the following areas:
Assessment and development of emerging technology though each stage of the commercialisation process
Development of key relationships with internal researchers and stakeholders, and external investors and customers
Patent and other intellectual property protection and licensing strategies.
Your ability to think strategically, influence at all levels will be complemented by an Engineering/Science/Business degree, with an MBA being an advantage. Ideally you will have some experience in sales and marketing from a technology product or research company.
