The Garvan Institute is one of Australia's leading medical research institutions with approximately 450 scientists, students and suppoort staff working in research programs in Cancer, Diabetes and Obesity, Immunology & Inflammation, Osteoporosis and Neuroscience.
The incumbent IP & Contracts Manager will be departing on maternity leave shortly. As such, the Garvan Institute will require a suitably qualified and motivated IP & Contracts Manager for a six month term.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of the patent portfolio and ta broad range of agreements (such as material transfer agreements and licences etc).
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience in the biotech/medical research sector.
